Atari Centipede is a classic fixed shooter arcade game where players must fend off centipedes, spiders, scorpions, and fleas using a bugblaster. The goal is to survive for as long as possible in this thrilling game of skill. The bugblaster shoots small darts at the segmented centipede which typically consists of 10 to 12 body parts, including its head. When a segment is hit, it transforms into a mushroom. Each segment then continues to keep moving independently towards the player. To defeat the centipede, it’s crucial to aim for and shoot its head.
