Snake and Ladder Snakes and Ladders is a centuries-old Indian board game that has become a beloved worldwide classic. The game is played by two or more players on a square-grid gameboard, with each square labeled with a number. The board features a series of ladders and snakes, each connecting specific squares and serving as helpful or hindering elements within the game. The main goal is for players to move their game pieces from the starting position at the bottom to the finish line at the top, advancing based on the outcomes of die rolls. Ladders facilitate progress by allowing players to climb upward, while snakes can set players back by bringing them down to lower-numbered squares. To play, players roll the die either by pressing the “space” bar on their keyboard or by clicking or touching the “roll” button on the screen. The result determines how many squares a player advances on their turn, with the objective of reaching the final square first, navigating the ups and downs dictated by the ladders and snakes along the way.
